Ive heard this everywhere I've tried to buy the stuff in this area, it is just too expensive for dealers to stock and have sitting on their shelves for years. Most people will not buy at the rate it is. It may be a top quality, premium product, but it is one that I shan't be for the foreseeable future, as the nearest dealer is now around 30miles away, yet I have more saw shops in this area than I can count on one hand, says it all really.

You get a better product, its a premium product, hence a slight premium price.

you get what you pay for as a rule.

This is true but that's not the reason for the price.

It retails at such a high price due to import costs, the distributor making a good margin and surprise surprise, tax tax tax.

I think the price is more linked to the packaging and difficulties in distribution rather than big margins..... if it was nationwide at the pumps it would be a totally different story.

The more people that use it I expect the price will come down but a bit of a chicken and egg situation. I've used nothing else for 5 years and buy a pallet at a time..... it's painful when you do but I still feel well worth it.
