Anyone lifted a quadtech body off a chassis? I'm painting mine in a week or two and was planning to lift it off with a hiab, but am having second thoughts and now think jacking it off may be a better idea. Any advice? Cheers

I'm doing the opposite next week, just lifted the HC tub off nd prepend the quadtech to go back on once the rest of the bodywork is done.

Strap all the way round it with long rachet straps then lift.

Poor old girl is looking a bit sorry for herself at moment but should be back in full form by end of next week.

Yep fill mine up every 6 days, but have hospital op soon and have to do nothing for a fortnight and very little for another couple of weeks so hopefully will have the wonga saved for respray, engine swap and tipper revamp.

Cheers Gray,. The quadtech had a couple of bolts that were a mare to undo but all in all an easy job to unbolt it and disconnect the electrics etc. Once I broke the corrosion, 2 of us could lift the box easily, so I just lifted it with the hiab from 4 attachment points in the roof rack. Much easier than i was led to believe (had been told not to do this but it worked OK and the box isn't that heavy). Photos tomorrow! Btw mine will be the same colour as yours😎😎 good job we're at other ends of the country! What did you paint the Ali on the box with? Etch primer the top coat? Cheers Mark

That's how I lifted it on in the end, handy having a remote control winch on the picker 😉

Yes etch primer then polyurethane on top as it's easy to spray and gives a good finish for the less skilled painter

Ow yes, starting to get it back in some sort of order again now after it's been a spray booth, steel fabricators shop and sight of menny tantrums over the last week or so😉

Almost done now, still a few bits to finish off once a few funds allow.
