I had an 03 TD5 and had the brain out from under the seat to be remapped in 08, brilliant, more torque, a little better on MPG and more power throughout the rev range. BUT I then had to have the dual mass flywheel and clutch replaced for a solid item within three months of the upgrade. I have found this is a normal thing to have done and is never mentioned by the tuners. Just be aware that it is a cost item....

I suppose though in an older 5 this is a sensible thing to have done as the fork can be replaced at the same time and you've also a new clutch...

codlasher.

And the exhaust manifold can warp due to the higher exhaust gas temps - mine did anyway.

I was looking at Nene overlands webpage the other day. 3.2 puma engine coversions into defenders tuned to between 250hp-300hp!! If thats not enough they also do tdv6 and tdv8 conversions. They can tune the tdv6 twin turbo to over 300hp!! I think the rover v8 has had it's day :)
