cheers for that, I will get it all ordered tomorrow.

I'm not worried about it being too hard, if the truck isn't loaded it will always have the crane trailer on it which is a bit nose heavy so should be ok.

Anyone selling a 1980's defender 90. I wAnt one so bad! How much they selling for??

defender for sale - Land Rover Monthly

Pre 91 all 'defenders' were just 'Ninetys' or 'One Tens'. Once the Discovery arrived the Defender brand was launched. Also I think the TDI engine wasnt brought out until '86 (? - If so, good vintage!) so you're looking at a manually aspirated 2.25 Diesel or V8 (check me here boffins)

IMO, aim for a 90's 300TDI or decent 200TDI. You're looking at 5k for a decent start. 8k+ for anything later into the 2000's TD5s.

Buying guides always crop up in the magazines. Take a hammer, torch and some overalls and get underneath to check thoroughly for rust on the chassis or bulkhead!

Enjoy!
