Your position and philosophy regarding work and life is sound:thumbup1:. It is a pity here in the States where I encounter so many malcontents and drama wannabes seeking to have their own reality shows based on really acting stupid in public and treatment of employees like crap:thumbdown:

I choose to have none of it and work with folks that understand my products and philosophies to better their professional lives and in turn make life easier. All the best.

Ok...so i have decided on the Aluminium Distel,s....but what Gaffs? The American Short? or the European?? which apparantly go into the wood more easily..

I have the shorts but like you have heard good things about the euros.. I will say they look like I could spike myself a little easier... that said, I've not worn them so can't judge.... might have to buy some to try em someday.

Personally I would go for shorts I've got the long gaffs and there good for soft woods but are not as good on thin bark trees sycamore beech etc thy can be a bit less stable IMO.

Go with the shorts, i've climbed in them on the ali geckos, loved em, didn't spike myself:blush: and found they easily went into pretty much any tree when sharp, even the thick barked ones:thumbup:
