The Desparate times are long gone and i,m hitting the ground running as usual...got an E mail when i returned from Kent..it said that a tree had landed on my mates shed and could i come and give him a quote..he sent some pictures...it was only a couple of miles away so i loaded up my bike...it was a Poplar and had rotted at the base and fallen onto his shed..Luckily the shed had been built so well that there was only a small split across one side of the roof...i filleted it all down to the stem...pulled the butt of the roof and stacked all branches ready for burning...just in Time for Sunday roast:thumbup::thumbup:...I wonder if i could tow a "Jo Beau chipper" behing my bike?:001_rolleyes::001_rolleyes::001_rolleyes:?

your go getting attiude is something to be admired, but why on earth would you want to be self empoyed if you struggle to buy in the groceries for the week?? IMO you would have an easier life being employed. self employment is risky if you dont know where your next job is coming from.

In self employment you never know where your next job is coming from, in theory it's easy you get work and you do it, and get paid. But the real world this rarely runs so smoothly. As s/e it's part of the masochistic fun, when things go well they go very well, when they go bad it happens quickly, whether work dries up, or a deterioration in health for example. But the rewards usually manage to outweigh the bad points, and it's well worth it.
