Ok......it,s way past my bedtime and i have to be fit as a fiddle for next week...Wednesday i,m working with Rich Rule for Mr Stockbridge and i,m really looking forward to it so thanks once again to everyone in Arbtalkland....I am very very grateful to the big response to my simple thread....Goodnight.

Paul- I love your honesty and enthusiasm for trees- I too have been in the hole with mattock and hand saw- even on conifers that 'sensible?' customers have had felled before worrying about getting out the roots- before grinders were so commonplace.

We occasionally work up London way- 3 days next week as it happens but more south east- Sevenoaks/Welling/ Dartford

If you can get to these areas then let me know and we'll exchange details. I'm thinking the journey would make it uneconomic but the offer is there.

Mick is a sound fella- I reckon you've a good contact there.

Stumps suck, I have done quite a few the hard way, this one was so badly placed and concrete infested we broke it up into several bits with jacks, axes and wedges then got a little help to get the 400kg bits out......

Okay.....that was last week....thursday i was asked to smash down a retaining wall to widen a garden...sledgehammer and lots of coffee.....done. KERCHING! Arbtalkers are calling me and the offers are coming in! THANKS,THANKS, THANKS TO YOU ALL! You know who you are:thumbup: I have a busy week already and i shall give you all 110% and keep everyone in Arbtalkland informed on my progress with wirds and pictures...This weekend i rested........A weekend with my mum in Wareham....Mum and Son stuff....I shall be a Grandfather in a couple of weeks and it was the perfect place to reflect with her...nothing else to say other than Wareham was the perfect interlude before my working week and a new Chapter in my life......:001_smile:
