Better off keeping it in 60m i reckon paul. always a same to cut rope up, look in bargain bin on HB for some off cuts.

 

Ay drew! surprised by your landyard, thought it be all colour coded and stitched Up. Tut Tut getting slack with all these volcanos and other exotic adventures.

Quick question, a mate of mine that works for a car manufacturer as a firefighter at one of there factory's has given me 60mtrs 11mm mammut the red with black flecks i was going to cut it up to make a lanyard to run through my cinch but I'm not sure if it's ok for this purpose?

 

do it, its spot on, you will need to double check your friction setup in use etc.

 

the best thing is the lightness of the rope compared to others out there.

 

yep 60m is handy, but once you have made your lanyard once or twice in time, you'll be happy for years to come, and when you are at the last 6m you'll be wondering what to do....
