Yeah I used to, got a carbon zaskar, not done it for a while, sort of have "interest spurts". I like the trail centres to be honest but been round most places at some point, what biking are you into? Xc or downhill?

Used to go to Hamsterley every night years ago. It's only round the corner. Gonna try again soon because I've recently done a couple of the trails in Grizedale and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it. Bikes a bit tired now though....Dear Father Christmas.....

Im the same with spurts of interest, i commute to work now and then on my bike and its killed the urge to go at other times.

Been to some great places though, Fort William, le getz and loads of places around the Pennines.

Ad some good times, should do it more.

I try to get to Brecon Beacons once or twice a year, though i don't think you can beat the quantocks! Whe i was at Newton Rigg for three years I found some excellent trails around Lake District. One in particular I remember went round Skiddaw and finished with a superb downhill!! Avoid summer, too many walkers.

Hi Pete, if your going going to the the Lakes try the Bogtrotters Used to go riding with them for about 6 years before other interests took over. They must know every route/bridleway in the Lakes and a great bunch of lads & lasses.

hi pete

go no further than your local Rivi hills, loads of biking up and down winter hill, into belmont and over to Darwen Tower and back with 95% of it off road.

There is even newly made, graded mountain bike trails near to White Coppice.

Pm me if you need any specific routes
