Trailer lighting problems

Im terrible with electrics and I know its a long shot but I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to fix the lighting on my trailer. I havnt used it for ages and I come to use it and the one brake light doesnt work. So I just thought the bulb had gone. But when I came to trying the indicators they were swapped around opposite to the truck. IE the truck lights were indicating left but the trailer lights indicated right. Any suggestions? Cheers :thumbup1:

Is it a trailer board? Just turn it over.

If they are permanently fixed lights the Yellow is the left hand flasher and the green is the right hand, open the plug and as long as the terminals aren't corroded you can swap the two over but I am at a loss to see how they would have got swapped in the first place.

For the report the yellow should go to terminal 1 which is at the top of the plug.

Check the cables for wear or corrosion. If it hasn't been used in a while I bet they are crossed. Take the 7 pin plug apart and check they are not corroded inside. The plug is the place to start as they are always the first to go being the most exposed to weather.

Check behind the lights at the back to make sure it's all ok there.
