Anyone remember when Brits were generous?

Is this not exactly what you're expecting people to do to you, ie your expecting them to employ you to cut their tree down and let you take away "something of value" for nothing? Or if I asked you to take down a tree and told you I wanted to keep the logs would you charge me more than if you were taking the logs?

thats different, if you cut down a customers tree and they dont want the logs, thats then money in your pocket. y would you want to give that money away?

Anyway. If there are any generous Kentish Arb's out there I need a lot of wood chips and I would be very happy if you want to dump them in my front garden. Deciduous is best. I need 7.432 cubic meters to cover an area 12.192 meters by 6.096 to a depth of 10cm.

This is not a tip site - more like an order for woodchip. Why not offer £20-00 a load?

A tip site is - if you have some chips (any sort), need to unload and are in the area regardless of amount tip em here no need to call ahead no timescale.

its quicker and easier and cheaper for me to take timber away, unless the customer wants to keep it in the sizes that id move it with my loader

I want some free wood chip! Can collect from site, us wheel barrow if no road acess tidy rake up from site etc, any wood chip bark peelings etc .

Otherwise would have to buy from B&Q which is abit expensive to mulch 400 trees

Now that to me is the way to ask. Straight to the point offering to collect and even help on site. And he did not accuse the british race of being tight in the opening title. If anyone needs some very fine wood dust from pine, bone dry I can create about 2 cu metres a day with kindling production at the moment.
