Who uses postcrete??

I steer clear of domestic fences if I can, too many boundary grab disputes IME. I only ever use concrete on steel or concrete posts, because Ive had to extract or work around other peoples quick holes dug with 360s and the like. You struggle to get it firm again without a tonne of concrete, then it shortens the life of wooden posts considerably.

If possible and I can't knock em in, we auger and backfill with hardcore which breathes and doesn't cause the ground level sudden stress point.

Depends if you are in it for the quick buck job done or want it to last. Unlikely you will get the replacement job if it fails in a short time.

NEVER concrete wood into the ground.

For post and rail I would always just backfill, but for closeboard with wooden posts- concretes the only thing that'll stop wind rock, I personally don't find it a problem to use concrete but the main thing is not to concrete to ground level as that is where the water will gather, I stop 10 inches or so short of ground level then backfill the rest.

Postcrete here.

As mentioned above, buy it by the pallet. We get ours for around £3-00 per bag + the dreaded.

Between 1 1/2 to 2 bags per hole depending on ground conditions.

Always use a pinch bar, grafting spade, and post hole spoons to dig the holes.

The postmix has gone off by the time you've got the next hole dug
