What a great video - fascinating stuff! It would have been an exciting time to be alive.

You are probably right, but the idealist in me pines for the frontier lifestyle. It's a very small world now, and a little less exciting for it.

great old film and yes, we moan now but THEY were hard men! Thing that makes me sad is seeing such lovely old trees being cut down. especially as so many of the buildings that used this wood will also have been pulled down. There is somethign about the sequoia, amazing trees and it's kinda magical to walk among them
