At what age would you say you're at your physical best?

All other factors being equal, late 20s. No shortage of peer reviewed articles showing that.

However, I'm 40 and I'm possibly the fittest I've ever been. That's because I train (a) more and (b) more intelligently than ever before, not because I'm at my peak level of receptiveness to training.

Its all in the mind i think. although your body at a young age may be younger and tighter. Without the correct mind set you wont get the most out of it. lots of young people moaning that they ache and are tired were as the older generation just get on with it. my opinion anyway.

I would probably say around 25ish but couldn't be sure as I've always been of the mindset of lets work like nutters earn the money and go home!!!

I've always been so competative being beaten wasn't an option so I worked harder and faster than everyone however I didn't work smarter and as I result I now have worn discs in my back (one has gone completely) doctor and surgeon both agree its just from over work!

I now have to work smarter and accept that I'm 40 going on 60 and my climbing days are numbered!!!

So to all the young-uns out there tearing around take my advice and work smarter!!!
