Can sometimes get bored of Spain's religious passing/90% possession style especially if they dont score much but they were very watchable tonight, glad they beat the Italians as well, Balotelli and Pirlo were totally shut out of the game. All kids should be taught to play like Spain, if your gonna play football, play football and learn to pass and receive the ball properly, excellent team, deserved the win.

My youngest is 6 and has already seen spain win a world cup and a euro......no wonder he talks of englsnd as being 'rubbish dad!'

Until English teams learn to play with such skill, flair and style, they will never be in the same league as Spain or Italy. Good final and a good result for Spain, though Id liked to have seen Italy put at least one in the net for their efforts.

Jack Wilshere is the Key imo. England need to build a team around his strengths.

 

Don't like the arogance of the Spanish footballing ethos, but can only drool & admire their skill & their determination to wear their opponents into the ground through ball retention.

Well yes to a point, I think that with millions watching and in the stands we have the right to watch the whole thing, not shortened to spare Italy's embarrassment. If Spain had got another goal; more entertainment, more excitement. Spain could have sat back at 2.0. against 10 men but chose to hammer the nail in. Good for them.
