I just recieved an email from Lloyds TSB (in my work email) saying 'they were unable to verify my account details' I haven't got a Lloyds bank account so I'm guessing it's a virus or something anyone else had the same?

Its not Lloyds TSB or any other bank for that matter . Its scammers wanting your bank details so they can rip you off .

Your bank will not send you mails with links to log on nor will Paypal - had some real convincing ones, nor will any other financial organisation.

I have messed with a few of these bogus mails, the link domain generally is nothing to do with the bank - some look like direct copies of the bank home page and if you enter fictitious details, they thank you and redirect you to the real bank home page - first thing you know is the emptying of your bank account!

Ignore all of these emails, even if they appear to be from your own bank, they are all scammers and your bank will write or phone if something is really amiss!

Had similar myself in the past from Santander & PAYPAL

I usually forward a copy of email to the banks security team, so that they are aware that a potential "phishing" scam is under way in their name.

Then DELETE. And run virus checker just to make sure nothing has leaked through my firewall. Make sure that your virus checker is upto date.
