Does anyone else have a tree related registration plate? I tried to get ‘RoPE’ from the DVLA but they wouldn’t let be put it on the Discovery as ‘R’ is a ’98 and mine is a ’95…it was only £250 as well!

Had to settle for this in the end, even though I hate the term……..

are those the ones you can have say anything on the front of the vehicle but the rear must display the relevant and in date registration?

Varies from state to state. In NY state you have to have 2 plates on, but Florida for instance you only need the rear and you can put what you like on the front. That plate of mine was about $30 I think.....And of course some Brit words don't mean anything here, for instance I saw a scaffold company t'other day called Swansea Scaffold (geezer had a Disco with a Welsh dragon spare wheel cover) and his reg plate was BOLLOCKS. I kid you not!!
