Hey Jennie,

I know the braces are not so cool but they work a treat. I guess being a lady you may struggle to fing the perfect fit so perhaps a slightly larger waist with some funky orange braces will do the trick. Though I can see how you might be put off....

Once you get used to braces, they are extremely comfortable .more so than a belt i find as there is great Airflow from head to toe without the gathering a belt gives.. Perfect for these high temperature we are working in at the moment...Stretch air braces are so thin and light you don,t notice your wearing them..and i like to twang them when i have to listen to someone talking rubbish..ha ha....only jokin Rob.

I wear my trousers like a girl (so I grew a beard to compensate) and always wear braces AND a belt. If it had to one or the other I'd choose braces though.

Another option to consider are the bib and brace ones engelbert Strauss do, they do a long version of all their sizes and are very comfy indeed (plus you get a choice of fashionable colours) If they don't fit they're normally happy to refund without hassle.
