twisted tachyon

ive just started using my spider jack with a tachyon rope. Ive found that my rope seems to get twisted alot. does anyone else have this problem? ive thought about using a mallion with a swivel connected to it to iliminate the problem

The swivel will not solve the twisting, only make it worse.

 

Adam, for the vt try tying the hitch having the first wrap as it comes down to form the braid. Instead of tieing it over the top put it under the braid and then under on the next wrap etc. I find it solved the twisting issue from the hitch.

Is the rope twisting whilst you're working (so it's overlapping) or hockling (corkscrewing)?

 

Like Rich says, a swivel made the hockling worse for me (on a VT mind).

 

Maybe you have a weird, one-sided body, like a haggis, and this is to blame?

my tachyon has never twisted on my lockjack, and when i use hitchclimber setup with vt/knut it never does????

 

what colour is it? mine is the orange and blue flec maybe the die in the rope fibres???

 

 

has it only just started twisting as you started using the sj or???
