end of the day a pro tree guy will check there kit evry day ! If i find an ify bit of kit out with the grinder & bin it. As some folk think a fall can break a climbing rope yet to see or be proven wrong ropes dont fail under a mans wieght, evan mine / some folk out there might just remember the old 3,strand ? I, remember somthing called hemp rope ! Mice used to eat that? Thats in the old days ?

No it is not utter rubbish!!

You can pass all my gear and withing an hour I could have silky cut two strands of my climbing rope, ran over my climbing bag with the truck what is your loler ticket worth then.

A car can have an mot done and drive out hit a curb and bubble the tyre, the pads could be on their last 10 thou, but on the test bed the brakes were fine, they may only have two days of braking left in them.

I'll say again, the loler and mot are only valid on the day of issue.

I maintain my vehicles beyond the standard expected of an MOT, I replace my gear beyond the standard expected of lolar

I value my life quite highly bob and I check my own gear every day, not once a year, I replace my rope and harness every twelve months, ask pete.

I would rather I checked my gear then someone else, thank you.

Trust insurance are fairly comprehensive, they cover my liability and employer/employee, plus engineering policy and truck and chipper, all kit on a stolen/replacement. Means you need a running inventory. If you are only by the sounds of it P/T just get landscape which covers the basics. Not the big stuff. Which really you need to have liability etc. Normal liability is around the £500 mark, but they want to c certs etc.
