i don't think £33 a hour is bad wage or is it me!! people are working for nothing in the north east i know a lad with his own bussiness who will work for £10-£15 an hour including chipper and fuel, hes doing jobs by the hour so you cannot compete hes snowed under with work

another charged a man in my girlfriends village charged£65 to trim 4 15ft conifers approx 40ft of conifer hedge and removed the rubbish and other jobs 2men half a days work its impossible to compete with this

if worcs wuss is happy to do the job, fair play to him.

 

there's no point everyone whinging about how he's devalueing the industry...

he got the price he wanted, the client got the job done. both won

 

we all go about people undercutting each other ( me included :blushing: ) yet alot of us use Justin for our saws, why, cause he's the cheapest.

 

i was bitching yesterday. i'd priced a friend of a friend 30mts2 of turfing at £250, yet was beaten by a price of £90 (the turf was £50 and a ton and half of topsoil at £30 )

i was telling the story to a mate of mine in the builders merchants where i was buying a load of fencing.

i'd spent 10 minutes the day before, arguing with the merchant to lower his price on the said fencing

 

hypocrate, me, never... :lol:
