I thought stickers weren't advised on helmets? Says on the label inside. I suppose they wouldn't be any more detrimental than UV? Ill buy a new one at the apf and find some stickers for it. Would look cool

Some stickers at least must be ok. I have a First Aider one on the back of my lid which was sold as suitable for lids.

There are restrictions regarding stickers when you are working near powerlines, like the vertex vent is not suitable but the vertex is. If stickers are applied then they shouldnt be near the edge.

So HB had Arbor gold, which was yale XTC but in HB's own personalised colour. And there have been quite a few others. !

That is what I was told when I did my 30/31 with Sean Rayment. He stated that any permanent marker and many adhesives were unsuitable for use on arborist helmets as it degrades the plastic and only those designed and certified for use should be applied. Even down to writing your name on your lid - only write it on the label inside.

 

Personally i would stick to clothing only and leave ppe well alone as per manufacturers guidelines and british standards.

It's all about the adhesive. It needs to be a water based rather than solvent.
