Ditto. I was always a packed lunch kid I think, but it was a while ago. Impressive someone that age can have the nouse to start a blogg about it!

Pathetic meal! How do they expect kids to learn when they are hungry all afternoon? Packed lunch may he the answer.

My kids' school ditched the prison trays last year. They also improved the food and generally made lunchtime more civilised.

 

Sometimes when I am working at home I go into school at lunchtime and eat with them!

I think you should be proud of your daughter. She writes amusingly but still manages to make her point without being over-dramatic. The food looks awful so it is probably as well that there is so little of it.

We had a cook at school called 'Mrs Bloodworth' and that was proper home cooking. Whats above is disgraceful, and they wonder why the majority of our children don't know what healthy wholesome food is!

 

Another joy to look forward to in a couple of years when my children get to school!
