Our new website has just gone live.

At the moment it is just as the webdesigner left it having imported all the content off the old site.

I now have hundreds of hours ahead of me to edit the content, change the pictures etc to make it really buzz.

But what do you think of it so far?

Looks a great site. I checked against Google mobile and your flying total pass and quick server times. Weldone! hope you're selling loads through the site.

The Kaaz LM5360 thumbnail looks a bit out of place its got a bad black background with white all around the mower and is lower resolution than the other thumbnails.

There is a LOT of work for me to do editing both the text and the images.

The webdesigners have built the site and imported data and images from my old site, which was a little out of date through lack of attention from me.

They have 'cleaned up' a lot of the content, and have imported images as needed to make the site work, but some of the images are for product I don't sell! They have done well considering they know little about the machinery industry.

But it is a CMS system after all, and the content is down to me, so I now have to check every product, category and page for errors, change all low res images for high res that can magnify on the zoom facility, etc.

Did you see how you can use the mouse wheel to zoom into a product picture?

I also have to set all the 'attributes'. This means coding every product so that it can be picked up by the search filter.

Its not easy, as I will be doing it in the evenings, and I reckon its going to take around 3 months to complete.

Keep watching for improvements and keep the comments coming, both good and bad.

So we operate on a local scale in London. It's cool, because the weather is not a factor and all that. The website is rather welcoming. What do you think? :blushing:

I see a few sites like yours offering gardening services and all have a very similar layout of colour theme but are based in different parts of the country. Did you pay a firm to do that? Or are you a franchise or something?
