You sound like you know what your on about!! What you think about mine? H.A. Heley Tree Contractors | tree work skipton, tree surgeon keighley, tree surgeon ilkley, hedge trimming ilkley, tree surgeon bingley I've got a few more links to go on yet twitter google plus etc

Ok so looking at the site from the front.

I personally am not a fan of having to scroll to find content. The splash page may seem a good idea but its limiting on content. If you can engage a viewer instantly rather than making them click a link [services] to find out what you offer then they are more likely to get more results. Attached is a screen shot of the services page, now on that you can see a list of "What we offer" as almost a teaser so people will scroll down. On the front page there isn't anything other than a link to the [services] page to act as that teaser.

Further more if the header was made smaller than the existing (See attached image which i hashed together) and made site wide including <front>, then you would display more than a teaser to the visitor, they would see proper content.

Next, your links under [services] dont link to anything. To be compliant with accepted standards for world wide websites, links should go somewhere! (simple when you think about it). Links to nowhere confuse and frustrate users. Similarly links should have Alt tags, Title tags and the page they go to should be titled to the same, or similar as the link you just clicked. This all adds up to a good workflow which ranks well on google as it can see the flow without even the need of a sitemap!

So, consider making your services menu available on the front page, bring the content up to the top, and make the links go somewhere with a good page for each (with pictures - people like pictures!!) then it will be rocking :thumbup1:

Theres more you can do but your head is probably hurting already!
