Yes, in a perfect situation crane+TM plus nice sunny day, everyones happy. But putting all that together is not easy, so you can see why others didnt put in a price. Next time you look at stuff like this you will plan it differently.

I only made this thread because its peoples mistakes that you learn the most from i totally admit that job was a complete mess start to finish from day 1 when i looked at it but ive been in business a few years now and this is the first 1 im sure wont be the last. But ive proved to my self that if im not happy with something i wont do it no matter what the cost eg not craneing over the road which i think everyone should be like. Glad its started a few talking points

I honestly didnt notice i was sticking my fingers in the cut i only noticed while editing the video i certainly cringed aswell!

 

I get abit nervous around 20ft mark really why do i do this job is a great question lol

Looked more like 50feet, wouldn't of bothered with the huge crane, loads of room, couldnt see any targets, fingers in cuts, pedestrians underneath.

5 guys walked away from that job for a reason, you think it's because they couldn't do it, it's actually because it was a crap job and the customer wanted to dictate the terms.

big trees are just bigger, you go higher, use bigger saws and tidy up more stuff.

The stories about the misshaps and crap money are what we learn from, or should learn from lol

First of all thanks for posting.You stuck your neck out on that job as well as lined yourself up for some abuse from folks on here.

 

I know I have cocked up numerous jobs in the past,its all part of the learning curve.

 

Crane companies have only once sent out a rep when I have booked a Crane.I have worked with cranes for ten years in five countries.Where you were having to set the legs made balancing the picks close to impossible.Consider the Jib next time,even just 500Kg would have been enough for the picks I saw on the Vid.

 

Long story short,thanks for having the guts to show us the Video.
