Arrived at the garden centre which I've used for Christmas trees for 4 or 5 years, found a nice tree (modest 6 foot specimen, non-needle drop, nice branch structure, no recognisable defects)

£50.00 !!!!!! :scared1:

So come on, how much was yours.......

The wife went to Grizedale to get our tree today. The FC usually have a good range of sizes and types, but shut this weekend. All FC staff have been given the next 2 days off due to the frost / ice patches on the roads. Does not quite tally with the number of 4x4's that they are issued with and that the private cafe staff all managed to get in their ford fiestas. Will have to go back mid week, once it's raining again.

Just got ours at the same local dig-your-own place that we always go to. Any tree = £5.

Some people make life so hard for themselves, shuffling off up the track with shovels and mattocks. Can't beat a silky step cut for sheer laziness... :D

I trust you arrange the stump grinding Tony :sneaky2:
