I have a 94 Ford Ranger, I am the second owner and I purchased this truck in 1997 with 97k miles fast forward 2012. Presently 313k miles and still performing well no major repairs and when I bought the truck in 1997 I paid a whole $5,000 American, Yes I did get a good deal and would recommend this make and model to anyone. just keep up with the regular maintenance and don't abuse the truck. It may even serve you as long as my truck still does.

I can't see you getting a lot for two grand either ranger or hilux, I looked into getting one or other a short while ago and the only ones for that or less had problems that needed sorting before it could be driven.

are you anywhere near Gloucestershire? There's one just up the road from me, blue X reg double cab, done 190k (ish) I think but was told it had an engine replacement recently so engine at least should be good for a while. £2500 but a bit of haggling should sort that...
