One reason I use Aspen

Trouble with that is, if you run out of alkylate and have to go back to the regular stuff you will be forever mucking about tuning the saw when all you want to do is pick it up and use it

Keep on top of the fuel levels, and carry a spare can

So just run a hedge trimmer on it first. Im running a hedgie,260 and soon a 150 on it. To work the cost out fm gas station fuel and the mix against aspen isnt that much of a difference. When u and ur kit will last longer. Also its only a couple of £ extra to add per job(dependant of course), right now i do two jobs and thats another can paid for

Care to say how much of a difference?

All depends on how much the fuel is in your area bud. Sure someone on here maybe even near the start of this thread worked it out for them.

End of the day i'm happy using it and so are the clients with interest. Even the guy opposite me who owns a bike show is interested, since he's forever fixing bikes that wont start due to old fuel etc after the winter season.

Tachometers are a few quid! I use mine to tune everything, and it takes seconds to tune something

TBH they probably only want a very slight tweak of the L screw, counterclockwise only a degree or two.

I do hundreds of conversions to Aspen and some need this tweak, but they will then run quite happily on pump fuel with this slightly richer mix without the need to retune.

Conversion to Aspen is nowhere near the big deal many make it out to be.

Tachometers are not required for tuning the L screw and the H will not need altering for Aspen.

👍 Think this should be a thread of 101 reasons to make up why i shouldn't use it. In stead of either going for it and sticking to it, or going for it but it didn't work out for whatever reason. Or the ones that wont try.

Its not all bout the cost of aspen its everything else it brings to the table that regular fuel dosent

Enjoying the fuel then Dan?

How are you finding it to normal stuff not had chance to try it myself. I sold out of the stuff before i got chance to use it myself. Will make sure i keep a can of it for myself next time i get a batch in.
