Can't understand why you have such a bee in your bonnet about Aspen fuel treequip. You're at the forefront of pretty much every thread revolving around Aspen....don't you get bored?? If you don't like it just don't use it, simples!!

Personally i've been using it for about a year now for various reasons...more than happy with how my saws are running on it, and with the amount I use disposal of empties isn't really an issue, although I can see how it would affect heavier users.

Sorry about that Steve, I think what set me off was the "use this it may just save your life" line followed by a lot of unsubstantiated claims about aspen and the allegations about the quality of pump. It just feels like someone weeing down my back and telling me its rain.

I appreciate they are a site sponsor so I will leave it at that

I don't get the big fuss about getting rid of the cans? Just use em to get bonfires going. I really don't understand why people are getting so worked up about using Aspen, if you don't like it don't use it and don't worry about it guys.

Re: disposal, burning them is supposed to be alright, no smoke at all (read it on here with pictures of said burning)

That's what I was told by someone at AAoil mate, that's what I do with em.

Nothing to do with them being a site sponsor....in many ways they are accepting criticism and opening themselves up to it just by being here.

I just don't understand why people get so pent up about some things I guess....its like a little crusade

Treequip, the "use this it may just save your life'' bit was maybe a bit strong, but did you read the link I posted,as it clarifies the situation a bit,& there is a risk from chainsaw use with benzene etc in the fuel, fact.

Yes it is expensive, most of that is government tax, which should be relaxed on this product, but is not a big enough concern for them to bother. The product itself is more expensive than some other fuels as it costs more to get out, ever crossed your mind that diesel is pricier than petrol?:001_rolleyes::biggrin:

Is it? Is it not taxed at the same rate as petrol?
