Cool, I'll probably go and get a tub in the morning then, I can really see no carbon as a big advantage.

Using other folks fuel is a bit of a gamble too hey :)

Nice 1 garden kit, will definitely be getting some tickets as soon as they go on sale and 6 cans should do me around 2 weeks so worth a punt at winning them.

As there are no Aspen dealers near me I went to countrywide and got this to try out in my Dolmar , they reason I'm posting here is does Aspen have a shelf life.

About 5 years I think.

Technically, as the Aspen fuel is chemically pure, it will last indefinitely. The can that it is in however, is only guaranteed to last 3-5 years!

That could be why then, plus only £16 so can't argue.

Just to say I got myself a bottle of the 2 stroke aspen and I will be using it from now on. At least with the hedge cutters.

Also think I'm going to up my price a bit and use it for all 2 stroke kit from next year. I like not having that 2 stroke taste when hedge cutting!!

So another convert:-)

Having emailed Aspen in Sweden several years ago about the storage and longevity of the two stroke mix I was assured that if stored in metal containers its life was almost indefinite. Storing in the plastic cans as supplied allowed some transpiration through the plastic and was advised of five years as safe.
