Neatly stacking logs

I'm a bit concerned that stacking like this there won't be enough airflow for the ones in the centre to dry especially as some of them haven't been split .

I guess it's about 1+ 1/2 m3 at the mo mostly beech.

What do you think will it dry or shall I restock it with a pallet in the middle ?

Yep all for me as long as I can keep me mates away from it, just can't be bothered to split the branches any smaller as I've still got the other half to fill yet

One of the reasons for my concern is I had some apple seasoning last summer and it didn't really seem dry enough this winter and didn't want the beech to be the same

i am with you on not splittting more than needed and to solve the drying problem of rings not drying (its not help that our logs need to be quite large 12" long by 16 in dimeter max ) so over come this i will cut logs for use in 2 years time an least. and it means we never run short if it a bad winter but if they small i they get burt quicker as they dry quicker.

but they dry fine as they small enough

Put the kettle on and calm th'self - there's nowt wrong with that. Our woodshed is stacked the same way but is 20 times the size.

Could maybe do with exercising your axe a bit more.

What you have there is absolutely fine and it'll be perfectly dry for next winter.
