Customer wants me to burn waste????

My question is are there any restrictions on burning tree waste on customers site?

Customer is hoping to keep costs down so has asked if I can burn waste rather than chip. Access is difficult for a chipper as it's on farm land / small holding sheep field. There is loads of brash to burn and I know the fire will be going for at least the 3 days we will be there.

Any restrictions I should be aware of? Searched online but nothing clear to me, all I can find is that it is illegal in Ireland!

Burning commercial waste is illegal, and farmers arnt allowed to burn any waste anymore.

Can they burn it after you have gone? Save them even more money and then not your problem.

Also, if its on farmland then why is access difficult? Quad bike and chipper should get anywhere.

Chipping is generally cheaper than anything cos its so efficient, thats why we have them. I have customers ask if they can save by not having the stuff chipped and often I say that will cost more if we have to carry the stuff further to get it out of our work area. Of course if just bosh the stuff into a heap then it can be cheaper but not always possible.
