Whats the point in having breakfast in bed if you have to get up to get to work anyway?

Its nice to have the alarm go off, my wife gets up, I snooze and then the breakfast arrives and we watch the news in bed while I eat and she drinks her coffee.

I then get up and go load the gear while she makes my lunch, very civilised in my book

It sounds like your wife has you very well trained!.

easy-lift guy

That sounds quite demeaning towards my wife.

I go out to work and provide for my family, does that make me well trained??

We agreed many years ago to have very clearly defined roles in life. Some see it as very old fashioned and chauvinistic, but it works very well for us (it will be our 22nd wedding anniversary this year)

And my chidden have the advantage of a full-time mum, who's always there when they need her.

dont have breakfast, usually have a cup of tea when i get up, then stop at 10 for some breakfast. if its a big tree i might have a chocolate biscuit or something before i start. occasionally we will stop and get a bacon roll if we are passing the cafe, but thats usually only on a special occasion like a friday
