some advice input please!

Hi all, Ive been asked to do a presentatio/talk at an arb (contractor audience) event this summer and im not sure what sort of aspect of my skill base/kowledge to present so....

 

If I was to present to you lot in here as an audience what would you most like to hear me speak about and present, what would be most valuable to you from an information point of view from my experiences?

 

what ....... god knows Ive a few ideas but some suggestions would help! it is for guys like you after all:thumbup1:

Complacency if thats spelt right lol. Reminders that it only takes a split second to cause an accident. show some injuries on photos to hit the ball home.

Any idea of their knowledge base? If it was me, I would be interested in understanding which fungi does what in relation to risk of failure etc. Pick something you enjoy talking about because your real strength is the passion you have for your subject.

If i were you i would speak about what you are most passionate about, because that will make it more enjoyable to listen too.

I would rather listen to a subject that i have no intrest in given by someone with lots of passion.

Go for it and enjoy it.

talk about how tree work has changed over the years ,and the methods used compared to back in the day

I,m not saying you don't know a load more about the Arb world in general, but as others have said, I'd pay to see you talk about the subject you know in most depth - fungi in relation to trees. Depending on the audience, make sure you keep it tangable and at a level that we can relate directly to otherwise you'll loose us. Tree health in general, basic principles leading onto more detailed examples with specific case studies perhaps.

 

And don't forget to let them know how they can contact you in general after and reference to your website - it may lead towards more contacts and a wider potential client base.
