I think the term is peanut skitter. It would be good if they made them in bruised and battered purple and red. Great when waving at passers by as the hawthorn is getting yanked out.

on a hedge laying job last year totally trashed a pair of welding gloves in 2 days . yet with the Ripeur2's i done 600 metres and only sign of wear is on the cuffs would definatly buy another pair they take a little breaking in but can use a billhook while wearing them after broken in but like rover told me buy a size bigger than you think you need

Oh, i've probably got the wrong size then!.... i have little'ish hands so should i have ordered large instead of medium?

you might be ok i have big hands but sure they will change them if you send them back before wearing them if to small . found a couple of places that sell them shame more places dont stock them

Ripeur gloves paired with SIP arm protectors - this is the best thorn combo IMO.

Got the Ripeur 2 gloves delivered today and took them out for a drive.... I turned the colour from "sand" to "mud".

 

First thing that surprised me was that they don't feel as bulky as i thought they might be.

 

The stitching looks good.

 

Comfy lining.

 

I've only used them for an afternoon pulling and moving chunky bramble, and also tested by pulling a couple of gnarly blackthorn out of the ground (with spikey thorny bits, roots n all).

 

Not ANY sign of anything getting through at all. Overall, so far, I'm very, very impressed. Will they last?.... that remains to be seen!

 

Not sure if they're supposed to be waterproof, but so far the inside seems to be dry.

 

Am i supposed to wash the dirt off with water? ....Or some kind of soapy solution followed by leather protection?
