for the boffins out there

i am drying wood in a 20foot container with an industrial fan running ( cheap enough 50p a day ) and a de- humidifier ( not so cheap 3 quid a day ) but the water is bombing out of there ,i have not insulated container yet as the sun is warming it (when its out ) to approx 30degrees . The wood is down to approx 27%mc from a start of 38%mc in approx 8 days , so to the boffs how do i get the water out cheaper any ideas will be grateful. ps the container holds 18 bulk bags and is there a better way without increasing time by natural drying.

Thx:thumbup:

More air flow & less use of the dehumidifiers. Poss put them on only during the cheaper E7 period if you have it.

Think of it this way you are pulling the moisture out of the air that you are just about to flush out of the container. As long as the incoming air is dryer than the wood it will work.

Why the rush to season is it very fast, is it because of limited storage space?

Got the stihl moisture tester and test on inside of a split log but always seems to be 20% even green stuff. Dodgy tool or wrong technique?

Must be a faulty tool i reckon green wood is always over 35% on my cheapo one from ebay.
