Sorry for not posting sooner i've been busy.

How do you get £6500 from the lottery to buy a chipper if you dont mind me asking?

I work for charity. A year ago we set up a conservation program for young people with learning difficulties. We got Big Lottery Funding for it. Now we have some money unspent so i'm allowd a few toys; well first the Lottery has to aprove the use of funds.

I thought most of the prices for the chippers i got were a little expensive. I did think the Entec was taking the piss as well even though it was a new machine with an old engine.

I've got quotes from 6622 for the Entech to 8620 for a 8" Gravely machine.

I'm really after a 6" chipper which you can tow on a new licence i.e. <750kg. Not had much luck i'm not sure the Entec is even in that catagory.

Hi guys, sorry to bump this thread but im in almost the exact same position

Im slowly moving up in the world, need a bigger chipper as my little gravity fed towable bearcat is just too slow now

It needs to be towable, mechanically fed, and be able to process as much as you can throw at it, we have a budget of about £6K to £7K

I know nothing about big chippers, so if someone can tell me a few good makes/brands and also any to avoid, Id really appreciate it.

Seen some greenmech, timberwolf and kwikchips on ebay that fall within my budget, after doing a bit of a search on here they all seem to be pretty reputable manufacturers, any more to add to the list

Thanks in advance

Joe

Try Keith at K Irvine Plant he's always got load of chippers in stock of every size at good prices.

He's a timberwolf dealer but always has other makes of chipper and other arb stuff in stock.

I paid £4300 for a 6" 98 Entec over 3 yrs ago.

I'd recommend Keith as well. Known him a few years, he knows chippers and he's also a trustworthy person to deal with.
