Hi, we have a new Navarra.

However we have a problem my associate didn't think about when he bought it.

How do we load a stumpgrinder?

The tailgate doesn't fold down due to the rear bumper step.

The tailgate was a weight limit of 80kg.

Are we stuffed or is there a solution?

tailgate weight limit I assume would be linked to the wire holding it. Could this be upgraded to chain?

Ty, I had a navarra and if you unclipped the side support bars the tailgate would fold right down. It was a bit fiddly at first but possible. Try that! Tony

Then the ramps would have to span the tailgate.

The machine weighs 350kg.

I was hoping to tow our new road tow chipper (when we get it) and carry the Bandit HB20 in the pickup.

Over here in the States we use Reese Hitch kits or the like, should be available in the UK?.

Can you build folding prop stand legs into your ramps that transfer the majority of the machine's weight straight down into the ground - they would need a bit of headscratching as the loadbed of your Nissan will drop as the grinder moves off the ramps and onto the pickup.

Pound to a silver pig if you just uprate the cables holding the tailgate your problems will be solved. We load 250KG quads into pickups with standard tailgates all the time.
