I hate to shatter all your fond illusions of this machine. Its plastic!

Yep, it still has not been made yet and all the photos of it are camera trickery. There was a few plastic moulds made of this machine and thats it.

Not that it isnt coming out, it will do, and probably earn more sales for LR than the present outdated dinosour, and thats the important bit. Although the PR is all about the greener planet, moving with the times and reducing expensive production costs, its not the reason for the defender being replaced, its pure sales numbers. The defender is currently LRs lowest selling unit so they will want to improve its productivity and therefore profit. The defender can never be the highly sucessful seller it was before the release of the shopping trolly.

All that said, Im gonna start buying up any defenders I can as once its stopped, second hand ones will earn money sat in the garage:001_rolleyes:

As Tom says though, if its got all the pluses the defender has, I'd have one!

Oh no, my dreams are shattered, I was hoping to go ploughing with it on Monday. :thumbdown:The main I started this thread was to show the chip box potential of the vehicle:001_rolleyes:

Yes the school run will be chock a block with these girly landies with 20"spinners and no chanceof ever getting dirty and all the doom and gloomers can pass judgement on them through the condensation on the windscreen of their duff old 90's

Personally I can't wait to see my wife clog up the rd in a convertible £50k Barbie mobile:thumbup:
