reading post about harris hawks becoming wild what bird would they breed with. unless one came across a rare meeting of another harris. so assume they must be loners but good hunters of rabbits and plenty of them to have.

if they did breed with a buzzard i assume you would have a hazard: hawk:thumbup:

Anyone seen any Summer migrants yet? As i have seen my first Sand Martin this morning. Either he was blown well off course or he is very very early.

 

Good pics. He's about bang on time. Third week in March is when they start to arrive. Usually about the 25th up here and the earliest swallow I've seen here is 4th April. Usually hear them first.

Cob and pen with 7 sygnets on the local river.:thumbup: Summer has arrived in Blandford. Loads of Swifts around and saw the first Hobby of the year as well. And a confirmed sighting of a Merlin when i was out on the bunnies this evening.:thumbup:

Well a Harris will live well into its 50's. so has a good chance of someone coming along :thumbup:
