Harking back to the comment about how Arbtalk is "cliquey", I've just re-read Predators thread, where he is looking for some boots. Now this fellow is relatively new to the forum, unknown to the majority of us here, yet his appeal for boots has been answered several times over, people here have offered a virtual shoulder to lean on. Why is this? He is not part of the clique, but part of our society, and most are human enough to help a chap when he is down. This chap could be you or me at some point in our lives, for whatever reason. Of course we aren't all going to get along all of the time, Im not that naive, but it doesn't take much to try. If this is being "cliquey" then it's not a bad thing, it time some looked beyond the end of their own nose and viewed the bigger picture.

Has Steve been touching them innapropriately...?

if this was a clique, or if the mods and the site owner himself where anything other than a great bunch of guys why would this post not have been deleted?

shows a sense of humour not a clique.

some people need to grow a pair and stop being so sensitive, crikey:001_rolleyes:

I honestly dont feel arbtalk is cliquey at all....just a well established community full of members who know each other both online and in real life....as in any community some members will gel better with some than others.

From a strictly observational point of view, i'd have to ask the members who complain about it being cliquey if they have taken time to go back and read through their own posts to see if perhaps their general attitude in the forum could have possibly contributed to effectively alienating themselves from the perceived cliques they think they see.

steve, you have and run the best forum ive ever had the pleasure of being on, its why I stick around and why I put in the time and effort I do to contribute.

I can be a bit sensitive at times (no S... sherlock:lol:) but that just means if it was as bad as all that I wouldnt give this place the time of day:thumbup:

Arbtalk will give you what you put into it, that includes the friendships you build within it, its down to the individual to make the best of it and when you do choose to make the best of it arbtalk is so much more than just a forum.

Arbtalk is an amazing and priceless way to communicate with fellow arbs, learn stuff and make great friends.

anyone who cant see that or get that out of it needs to take a look inside themselves.:001_smile:
