I tend to "brick up" a lot of stews, bolognaise, chilli, curry, soups etc. Tonight I'm doing neck fillets of lamb as a roast, do plenty and have them tomorrow cold, with salad and chips.

I used to take thick soup in a flask too - top idea when the weather is like it is. Homemade leek and Potato is good.

And no Dave, not all of us has a wife or whatever, nowt but trouble I've had with them!:sneaky2:

One thing to NEVER reheat is rice. Reheating can cause the release of Bacillus cereus emetic toxin which can make you proper sick. I knew about this, then experienced it first hand when I reheated some egg-fried rice that had been in a foil container all night. I was ill within an hour of eating it :stupido3:

Yup, but you can eat it cold or recook it, it's when you rewarm the rice you get poisoned.

Shepherds Pie Josh! It keeps for ages in the freezer, get it out in the morning to defrost then when you get home chuck a load of grated cheese and some tomatoes on top bung it in the oven then brown it off under the grill.

Serve with pea's and young Marie will be over the moon at your culinary skills....:thumbup1:

Trouble with that is you'll make a rod for your own back and she'll expect it all the time....
