Never seen logs delivered like this!

I don't see the problem. At least they were out working!

Joe delivers delivers 350 logs in his MG ZR... even piled up on the front seat! It is pretty amusing to see but glad he's making an effort, I'm more than happy to give him a customer or two.

The owner of Pencarrow House, Lady Molesworth-St.Aubyn- would fit the person you have described Steph!! She drives an old nissan and unless you know her you would NEVER think she was part of the gentry! The 'old money' have, IME, (in general) little or no money, and drive old cars generally.

My landlord is like that. Old golf, holes in his jumper, £100m worth of farms and land. Really nice guy too.

Spot on!!!!:thumbup1:

Many, many years ago when I was first getting going I delivered a load of dead Elm in proven sacks to a posh pub, in the back of my Citron Diane.

We all have to start somewhere :001_smile:

hope you dont mind me piggybacking on this thread but i thought it was the most appropriate without starting a new one....

my truck decided to die on me yesterday so i had to resort to this to get my log orders out to cutomers today....

it works out about the same as a small load off the tipper, (270-300 logs).

glad i didnt have to go too far as it was getting rather chilly after the 4th delivery..

will have to start a new thread with the pic of what it looked like when i got it and the restoration...

My new company car was around a week old when it had the first load of wood ceremonially dumped in the boot and hauled back home - just had a real full load in it at Christmas, God alone knows what weight I had in it but the rear axle wasn't far off the deck:thumbup:

Get some strange looks but IMO, that is what they are for, as long as you keep the speed down, avoid the bumps and pre read the road for stopping distances, all is good - probably the same loading as four big pie munchers and their holiday luggage.
