Looked out the window at 11.55pm too see 2young lads run away from my Ouse carrying saws:thumbdown:

Shouted but they kept going.

Found my pole saw in a neighbours garden but lost 2 026's and an 046!!!

Police have went for a drive around, van was locked, no forced entry and vans ok.

Not cool though:sneaky2:

At least you didn't lose your gypsy stick, you would be lost without that! Seriously though, hope you get them back, mate.

No forced entry?, how was your kit secured?. It seems to me that when news is posted more than members are reading and learning. Now I may be jumping to conclusions, but at least for me I bet there is a pattern of thefts that may be linked to releases of information. There are and will be thieves ready and willing to take advantage of any opportunity available. I believe this situation has played it'self out. I have no proof other than a hunch. I am sorry for your loss. I hope you will be able to sort all out in the near future

Feckers. At least you're insured.

I was thinking wether there was any way that saws could be made more obviously traceable at the manufacturing stage, or possibly when you buy parts you ave to give a serial number that is checked against a register of stolen saws. Then again I wonder how many saws Stihl and husky sell that are just replacements for nicked ones. It probably wouldn't be in their interest.
