Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this but couldn't see a more suitable sub forum. I'm looking for free wood chippings to use as mulch in an allotment and a tree surgeon that I emailed recommended this forum and said someone here could point me in the right direction. I have the use of a sprinter van and can collect as long as it's not too far away. I live in Cramlington about ten miles north of Newcastle if anyone can help or maybe point me in the direction of anyone who can? I've emailed a few local tree surgeons with minimal response.

Cheers in advance.

TBH as you are wanting it for nothing, not even offering a little something for people trouble, I can't say I'm surprised.

the problem is tv and radio programmes suggesting that tree surgeons will let you have it for nothing. you can be lucky. like most however, i charge!

I give mine away to lots of people, allotments, farms etc, some give me some beers, some give me food, some give me bugger all, BUT I get rid of my chip for free and without any hassle of wondering where I'm gonna tip.:)

Obviously I'd offer something for them plus they wouldn't need delivering as I have my own van. Cheers for the replies anyway. If there's anyone wanting rid of any in the northeast in the future let me know.

Cheers.
