i love my gransfors bruks scandi forest axe for small stuff at home, they do a large splitting axe which looks lovely

Yup, Large splitting axe (not the maul) is perfect. Goes through most things with not much effort. I allways try to split wood green though, saves alot of effort over splitting seasoned stuff.

Gransfors splitting maul. Splits pretty much anything in front of it - if I can't get something to break in three wallops of that, it gets passed to the 460.

 

Heikki Vipurkirves for straight grained rounds. It won't touch anything knotty, but it is the mutts nuts for the right wood.
