Whats the weather like near you?

Getting fed up now. Looked OK first thing so was hoping we were going to miss the rain that they promised like yesterday (not a drop and even got sunburnt) but it got really dark (like drk enough to need lights in the house) and rained like I've never seen rain before. Finally easing off again but am sure we'll feel some repercussions in a few hours.

Just come in after dumping over 5000lts of water from our rainwater harvesting tanks! Pumped the water into the pond and it took three hours to empty the tanks! Hopefully by emptying the tanks the sun will come and we will have a drought!

Not raining now but very grey and misty, Looks like it could be dry enough to finish work on a site in kielder tomorrow (clearing sitka regen), we did not go out today when all we could hear at 8am was thunder! I am sick of permantly being a drowned rat with soggy boots. think it is north east northumberland that is getting the heavy rain at the moment (Berwick), hope no one has problems caused by flooding up there tonight.

Apparently we are going to get 80cm tonight. Nice. Just been down the warehouse getting everything up on racking and piles of pallets.

Just bumped into a friend of mine who works for the local EA. He is on call out and said that he has been helping the east somerset team with grip clearance as alot of the streams were bringing down summer vegetation and clogging the grates that go under the little bridges. The local river is on flood warning on the upper stretches but currently watching the local levels rise at the water level point in town and about 5 miles up stream at Hammoon. It is rising at about an inch/hour and the rain has got heavier. Glad we have a snorkel on the 110 now. Splashy spalshy.
