i pulled my hip muscle last week, just got the missus to rub deep heat in , took ibruprofen and went to work, when i got up the tree i was fine. im the other side of 30 too, but stubborn and will rit my teeth and get on with it...good old army training..stop moaning and carrying on.

Works for me too! better to be up a tree in pain earning, than at home in pain not earning!!

i think it pays to keep as active as possible to prevent injury.i gave up football at the age of 33 not really through injury (the odd ache maybe) but more about family commitments.i've had 4 years of back,shoulder,knees and ankle trouble ever since,this year i've been coaxed out of retirement and feel like a new man,could be coincidence and being older i will inevitably be more subsceptible to injury(touch wood) but i'm sure its doing me good
