im under 30,and rarely have the oppertunity to let things recover naturally.usual remedy is a few pain killers and deal with it

I am 39 and have always found that pain killers and carrying on working is the best way to go!

In fact I am not a fan of long brakes from work, I find that if I take much more than a week off I tend to hurt myself once I start working again.

Maybe thats why you suffer repeatedly.

Pain is your body's way of telling you something is wrong, numbing the pain with chemicals and carrying on is bound to make things worse.

Most doctors don't advice this any more.

Pain killers will only take the edge off and you will not be able do more damage the pain will stop you, IME.
